Beneath the Attic Eaves(BTAE) is the primitive Folk Art Ebay group that I belong to. Such a wonderful array of talents and the friendships are so great. We have had some new faces join us and everyone is really looking forward to what 2007 can bring for the group.

We are about to have our first group auction on JANUARY 19.... " Love Letters from my Heart to Yours " is the theme that was voted on. I can't wait to see what everyone's vision looks like.

Kaleidoscope of Moments

Friends

It was fabulous to get to have the Potters4 come back to Canada this summer. They have been living in China and Grant took a job in BC so are back in the homeland....even if it is on the other coast!

Carole and I share a close connection spiritually and I love that I can talk to her and she understands.

Missing you Carole and am going to make a much better effort in staying in touch! Too much time passes between when we chat!

A Door Closes

"POTTING ALONG"....... a fantastic blog by our friend Grant Potter has closed its doors. He was one of the first folks that I knew besides myself that even knew what the word "blog" meant. He had the knack of making you able to see exactly what you were reading about in vivid color.

I am going to miss it greatly but know that at some point Grant is going to explode back onto the scene with something even more wild and captivating.

May his blog forever have touched souls!

Thank the heavens above that we can still snatch glimpses of what is happening to the Potter 4 by reading the latest entries in Carole's blog! Don't you dare stop yours girl! LOL

I'm not sure I can handle that sort of shock.

High Speed....for the Weekend!

Yup..... I have high speed on my computer for at least this weekend. I knew that I wanted to do some major work this weekend on the blog and on my website. Knew my dial up was going to drive me nuts and I'd most likely give up way before I needed to.

When I called Eric and asked the plans for this weekend and he told me they were pretty free...I giggled....I knew what I was going to ask him next. Could he tear apart my computer system and then turn around and set it all back up at his place????

My bedroom area where the computer is set up is NOT the easiest to work around when taking things down.......but he was a trooper and did it for me! Took us awhile to get things set back up and running here but now I'm ready for some major writing.

Might have to soak my fingers tomorrow....they'll be so sore from typing! LOL

Hope you are comfy....you have LOTS that you will have to catch up on in the readings!

Brand New Year...Brand New Look

2007...... wow........ time sure does have a way of slipping right by when you aren't really paying too close attention. So much has ben happening and I really have let my blog go to the back burner.

Not anymore!

I figure with a brand new year should come a brand new renewal of writing! I always feel so good when I write. I upgraded to the new system at Blogger and gave myself a new "look".

Lets see if I can't do some catching up and get everyone up to date on whats been happening in my little piece of the world.

Penny Cloth Doll Course by Claire Pruitt

OMGoodness! Where do I even begin talking about this class?

A friend from a primitive forum I belong to was talking about a doll class that she was taking part in. She showed us a sample of how the doll was coming along and I was blown away.

I contacted her and asked to have details on the class. I'd been looking around at a few but they all were SO EXPENSIVE and I just don't have the extra funds for stuff like that.

This class was perfect! The price is $25 and this doll has already sparked so many doll creation ideas in my head...I can hardly keep up with jotting them all down! LOL

You sign up for the class at the link I will give...... and then its all held in a Yahoo group. The step by step pictures are the clearest and most detailed I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Claire sends the actual template pieces to you in the mail.

I am going to drive my mail lady bonkers until those template pieces arrive!LOL I seriously have not been this excited to attempt a new pattern in...... well...... I can't even recall!

Claire Pruitt is the course teacher and doll pattern designer. She has been so sweet and wonderful. She answers everyones questions so well. Each email that I have sent, she has responded right away. That right there is a huge bonus. I can tell already that I am going to be learning so much at the talented hands of this woman.

I took a peek around the other "members" of the class. WOW! I won't drop any names but lets just say the talent level in this class blows my mind!Had me a touch nervous that I wasn't quite up to par with these ladies but ALL have been nothing but supportive and willing to help out.

Autumn Talks.... will you listen????

Eric and I awoke this morning to a glorious Autumn day. The sun was out strong and that made the sky blue but there was no heat behind the color. The winds weren't strong but you could feel a slight nip in the air.

Eric had just gotten his camera back from being sent away to be fixed! (OH GOODNESS! I am beyond excited to have that back and able to borrow again!LOL)
We set off to drive around some back country roads and see what Autumn splender we could capture with a click of our camera.

Has anyone seen my "dawg"??????

Eric and I seem to have lost our "dawg"!!!! LOL

Our friend Calvin, who I lovingly refer to as Dawg..... has made the big step and gone out west to BC for a while. He left earlier this month and we miss him already so much. Eric called him tonight and it was so great to hear his voice.
He is staying with our other great friends, Grant and Carole. They are all having such a fantastic time that after talking to both Calvin and Carole tonight...I felt myself experince a twinge of jealousy! I was a bit shocked by it! LOL

I have been following their adventures by reading their blogs. I think its such a wonderful way to stay in touch besides just emails and phone calls. We can catch glimpses of each others lives thru reading the words we chose to write.

I think a trip to BC is going to be in Eric and my future before too long. I look forward to relaxing with all our friends in their livingroom....glasses of wine flowing.....food cooking on the BarBq and laughter escaping from our lips.
