Alot of dust in the ATTIC........

I closed my shop down for a bit the last month of so due to all that had been happening in my personal life from the car accident and my grandmothers illness.

I have been getting busy with some last minute details on some new dolls. I went a bit "grungier" then I usually do on a few of them. The mood struck and it seemed to work:)
I am hoping they will bring smiles to your faces.

Also been working on some surprises! heehee
Look for the GRAND REOPENING!.....around JANUARY 9, 2006!!!!!!

2006 Calendar..... SherylsGraphics

I am a firm believer in writing things down on a calendar and having it all right there in front of me to help keep track of things. I did get a sweet kitty calendar from Eric's mom this Christmas.
I will be hanging it up next to my computer area. The box area is sort of small for writing EVERYTHING that I tend to write down though. LOL

I did a search for "printable primitive calendar" and found this awesome site!
I have actually been to her site quite a few times but had forgotten that she offered this calendar feature. I think everyone needs to scoot over to her website and print of the calendar.
Its so awesome and PRIM!
Lots of space to write important details down and if you chose the "landscape" version, there is a NOTES section on the side! LOVE IT!

Prim Blessings!

Its my nieces fault! LOL

My oldest niece, Hannah, asked Santa to bring her a GameBoy and he did along with 2 games.
WELL! I have never played one before and had no clue they would turn out to be so much fun:)
She got a ScoobyDoo game that...well....I am horrid at! LOL The silly spiders kill me every time.
On the NEMO game she got though......much better. I can pick up pearls with no problem!LOL
I'd sneak upstairs and sit on the top step in the dark and play. heehee

A few days later, Eric drove some of my family back to Halifax so they could catch their flight back home to Virginia. While he was in Halifax............HE BOUGHT ME A GAMEBOY!!!!!!

Could he spoil me more???? I really highly doubt it! LOL
He also bought me The Hobbit game to go with it as he know what a huge fan of LoTR I am.

So now I'm going to be on the hunt for more games......oh I am going to have a might sore thumb!

Home for the Holidays

My whole family came home for this holidays this year and I have to say that over was AMAZING! We ate food like there was never a scale invented! LOL
The joy of hearing the EXCITEMENT in my nieces voices was something I will treasure always.
They got to hear Santa outside their bedroom window and sleigh bells. There were sleigh tracks in the snow in the back yard even!
To sit with everyone Christmas day and just feel the excitement in the air was a blast. Lots of wonderful presents were exchanged and many moments of laughter too! heehee

A good smack to the head........

Can really cause way more problems then you could ever imagine!
When dad was involved in the car accident and got the concussion......he was told he'd have a headache and be a bit "off" for awhile.
Well the headache just never went away and he was always really dizzy when he'd first stand up from the sofa etc. He was going to the Dr for a check up and we suggested he ask to have a CatScan done. The next day he was sent to yarmouth for the scan. Really quite quick but we sure were not complaining.

The very next day, the DR called us and told us to get in touch with dad(he was out shopping with my grandfather) and have him get himself to Halifax! The scan had shown a large blood mass and he was sceduled for emergency brain surgury!

We run around and get him up there.......after running some more tests and a bunch of other stuff, they finally did the procedure. He had a large incision cut in his scalp and then a hole was drilled thru his skull. A draining tube was placed and the blood mass was drained.
There was so much blood that it had pushed my fathers brain to the other side of his skull!
He had the drain tube for a few days and then was stitched up and brought back home.

His stitches were removed yesterday and he's doing much better. He goes to see the "head" DRs again in Halifax at the end of January. Another scan will be taken then.

So needless to say....its been crazy around here.

THANK YOU for all the prayers and well wishes that have been sent to myself and my family:)

Prim Blessings!

Miss me????

WOW! What a crazy turn of events has been happening in my life.
I am sorry to have been gone for so long. This is a habit that I want to get out of!
Seems whenever something crazy happens in my writings stop.
That should be the time I am writing more and getting it all out.

Ready to play CATCH UP????

Grab your sled!

You don't notice how old you are the day you sled.....but for 3 days are OLD AS DIRT! ROFL

Pillow on my butt! LOL

I can't even recall the last time I went skating!

Since my sister and her family live much closer to us, we all were talking about things we wanted to get together and do. Skating was brought up!LOL

On my father's piece of land that he and I were cutting wood on......there is a meadow that freezes over every winter. We are going to go back and make sure we take care of the ice that forms. Fingers crossed.....we will all make it back there to skate a few times this winter.

Must find a HUGE soft pillow for my butt and strap it around me for when I fall! LOL

Santa Craft with pinecones

Wouldn't this look amazing hanging outside on your front door to greet friends and family during the holidays? I just love the way this looks.

A small birch(or white barked tree) piece for the face. Take a piece of heavy cardboard and cut it in the shape of the beard. Take two small nails and nail it to the wood at the top. If it needs more nails..use them.

Take hot glue and LOTS of pinecones. Start placing the pinecones around the cardboard until it forms the look of the beard you see in the picture. Place 2 large pinecones as his mustache and 2 large ones for eyebrows as well. A bit of paint on the birch forms the face details for santa.(If you are lucky enough...look for a piece of wood where a branch has broken and that becomes his nose!)

A simple red hat is then placed on top. VOILA! SANTA!

Prim Blessings!

Tunes to Craft to.......

My latest addictions are the newest album by Nickelback!
The song "photograph" rocks my world....I think I also have a slight crush on Chad! LOL

And then I can't stop playing Ricky Martin's new album "Life".
The beat just gets your fingers tapping and my silly foot stomping. I don't know all the words quite yet but it doesn't seem to stop me from singing LOUDLY the odd word I have mastered!
And I am fully aware of the wicked hot crush I have on him! LOL

Pass the ChopSticks Please

Tonight is the holiday work party for Eric's company.
Lots of the folks bring their children so sometimes we opt not to go! LOL
But its at a local chinese place this year and well.....we can pass that up????????

They do it buffet style and is usually so yummy. I am craving sweet and sour pork! heehee
I'll let you know what all I stuff myself with! LOL

They have started to FALL............

The other evening was really cold and clear. I stood outside and watched my breath.
Next thing I knew.....small flakes of snow were falling in the moonlight. Oh how magical it looked.
Over to the left....I could see stars. Overhead was a few clouds and that is where the snow was falling from.
I stood in the middle of the yard and leaned back with my arms open wide.
Snowflakes stuck to my eyelashes and I laughed.

Prim Blessings!

She's home! :)

Gramma returned home on friday!!!!
Her blood calcium levels have returned to "normal". She was told she is now diabetic as well.
We have to have her on a No Salt Diet for her kidneys and a No Sugar diet for diabetics.
Mom and I are reading labels like never before! LOL

She is on some new meds and has to check her blood sugar 4 times a day now.
Its taking us a bit of time to get to the new routine but we are doing fine with it for the most part.

Thank you everyone for your emails, cards and well wishes!
I love you all!

Tooth Fairy fun

My oldest niece Hannah lost a tooth this week while they were here. It was quite loose when she arrived and she pulled and played with it till the other morning when it popped out and onto her tongue! LOL
She now has a gap right in the front and is beyond cute!
She wanted to know if she would be able to still get money for the tooth if she asked the tooth fairy if she could keep the tooth. Said it was her fave tooth as it was a front tooth. LOL

We wrote the Tooth Fairy a note asking to keep it and left it with the tooth.
Woke to squeals of delight as there was now a paper plate with sparkles all over it!!!!!!
The Tooth fairy had left foot prints behind as well and a note in the most beautiful script handwriting that said she was allowed to keep this ONE! LOL

We ended up having to take the plate of sparkle dust all the way to the hospital to show great Gramma! LOL It was quite the day.
I am sure it will be a memory we all remember for years to come!

I will take a picture of Hannah with her tooth gone and post it soon.

Tara and my nieces

When everything happened with the family.... my sister and her 2 daughters came home. They were moving back to NS this month anyway as her husband is in the Canadian Armed Forces.
She opted to come back a week early and stay with us and help out. Its been great to see them again. This last week actually had many moments of laughter which is just what we needed.
My nieces are 5 and 8 and ......they crack me up! LOL

Prim Blessings!

Back to "normal" LOL

Well once again there has been a lapse in my blog....but that is because of family issues.
I think Angels were working over time looking after my family. First the 18 wheeler hit my father and Nannie. That following Monday my Gram(the one that lives with us) had to be rushed by ambulance to the hospital. Her blood calcium levels were lethal and she came beyond close to dying. They have run numerous tests and pumped her full of so many different medicines. She is doing much much better. She has been in Yarmouth which is over an hour away. She moves Monday to Digby and we'll be able to see her every day as its only 15 minutes away.
She should spend about 4 days there and then return home.

Angels watched over my family

My father was on his way to Annapolis to take his mother(She is 90) to the hospital for some blood work and some Xrays. There is road construction happening all over the place down this way.
They were stopped at some construction with about 3-4 cars ahead of them. Dad looks up in his rear view mirror and sees an 18 Wheeler heading towards them. He placed his 4 way blinkers on and looked was NOT slowing down!
He attempted to move the car a bit to the right but it was way too late.........

The 18 Wheeler hit them and sent them across the road and into a ditch. When they awoke....right behind Nannie's seat was the grill of the truck! They are so beyond lucky to be alive!
Dad was able to get out of the car. He suffered some scratches and cuts to his arms and head. He has a concussion. He was released from the hospital yesterday. He woke this morning to some dizziness so we took him back. His shoulder and neck are very tender and sore as well. We are just going to watch him carefully now.

Nannie is alright as well....... they had to use the Jaws of Life to remove her from the car. That was pretty scary! She has a horrid bump on her forehead that is huge and bruised. Her whole arm and shoulder is black and blue and her hand. Neither suffered any broken bones or major injuries of that nature!

Grampie usually makes these trips with them but that morning opted to stay at home and wait. He'd go shopping with dad afterwards. THANK GOODNESS!
If he had been with them, he'd have been sitting right behind Nannie and been where the grill of the truck was!

Angels watched over my family yesterday!
Please.....go HUG your family and tell them you LOVE THEM!

Momma dressed YOU up this year! ROFL

Fou wore this pumpkin sweater ALL DAY.

This is Mao going over to check him out and to laugh in his ear as she didn't have to wear it that year!LOL

Prim Blessings!

Was so tiny...........

Going thru some older folders on the computer and came across this one of Mao and Fou kitty when we first got him! Look how tiny he was! heehee

Prim Blessings!

Too much of a good thing????

he of course didn't really all the candy!
The look on his face though was perfect to how I felt after eating it all! LOL

Prim Blessings!

Blends in well????

I was in the other room one day and I heard this loud "scrambling" sound......went into the livingroom and couldn't see anything. I went to walk out of the room and from ABOVE I heard this "meow".......looked over at the coffin and there was FOU!
He had jumped from the back of the chair to get on top...the scrambling I had heard was his hind feet as he pulled himself up onto the top section! LOL
I had a bat hanging from the ceiling that was on a wire and spun around.....he was trying to catch it! LOL

Prim Blessings!

My Casket

I have always LOVED HAlloween!

Many a birthday present or Christmas present was some halloween object for my collection. It was really getting to where it needed a place to be stored. I asked Eric's dad, Charlie, if he would make me a bookcase. He said SURE...then I told him I wanted it shaped like a coffin! LOL

He built me this awesome casket! I painted the inside a deepr raspberry color and the rest is a flat black. I kept it out all year round with more and more goodies being added all the time!

Such an ice breaker when new folks would come to visit for the first time! ROFL

Halloween Weekend

The band plays a Halloween dance tonight and I am so looking forward to going out.
Not dressing up this year......well......not in like "full costume mode".
I am wearing my long black suede skirt and an orange off the shoulder sweater.
My suede boots also.....and I even have a long black cape to wear! I guess I am dressing up! LOL

Prim Blessings!

Smell that???

SMELL THAT???? Aromatic herbs like rosemary, cinnamon, lavender can keep clothing and shoes smelling fresh. Cedar can even help protect woolens from moth damage.
**For your in your dresser, spoon a small amount of herbs into a beautiful old handkerchief, gather the ends, and tie with ribbon or twine. You can even hang this in your closet from a hanger!
**For your shoes, create a sachet that will help them retain their shape as well as freshen them... simply stuff herbs into a sock. LOL

Prim Blessings!

Do you hate the disp soap on the counter????

Dishwashing Liquid Bottles

When it’s kept in an attractive glass bottle, dishwashing liquid doesn’t have to be hidden under the sink. Decorative bottles and pour spouts are available at most housewares stores; vintage bottles work well too, as long as they are perfectly clean. Simply fill the bottle with dishwashing liquid, and top it with the spout. So much more pretty sitting next to the sink!

Prim Blessings!

and this time I'm not talking about the autumn leaves! LOL
I am a huge fan of music and always have something playing on either my cd player or computer.
Right now.......the cd being played over and over is NICKELBACK.

These Canadian boys have it going on and I just love them!
I think I know all the words to their song "photograph"! LOL

Now I'm not talking...."tossing your head up and down crunchy/can't make out the lyrics thru the electric guitar"........just good old fashioned rock and roll crunch sound.

My sewing machine works really well when I have the pedal rocking to NICKELBACK! LOL

Prim Blessings!

You can pretend.........

that it is warm outside.....but you are fooling yourself!
The air in the afternoon is crisp. The leaves crackle under your shoes when you walk outside.
I have taken to wearing my sweaters and a light scarf around my neck to ward off the chills.
All my sandles have been boxed away till next summer......My fave boots come out this time of the year! heehee

The sun pokes her head thru the clouds some days...but her summer warmth is nowhere near close. Pumpkins sit upon the porch waiting to glisten with the frost.

Prim Blessings!

The autumn leaves are all turned and whipping around the yard. There are reds and golds floating all over. A fave game at night for the cats is chasing the odd leaf that made it into the house stuck to someones shoe. LOL Across the kitchen floor and under the table.....too funny to watch.
I love this season!

John William Waterhouse

John William Waterhouse (1849-1917)

"Although often classified as a Pre-raphaelite for his style and themes, Waterhouse is truly a Neo-Classic painter. Some of Waterhouse's earlier works were focused on Italian themes and scenery, reflecting his love for his birth place. Later on, his works picked up the styles and classical themes of Pre-raphaelites such as Alma-Tadema and Frederick Leighton. Waterhouse went on to paint well over 200 paintings depicting classical mythogolgy, historical and literary subjects, particularly those of Roman mythology and classic English poets such as Keats and Tennyson. Femme fatale is a common theme in his works, as most are of beautiful elegaic women and of many men are victims."

I adore looking at this man's paintings and creativity. I find the imagery somehow touches something within me. I wanted to share in hopes that maybe it would touch something within one of you.

Autumn in Nova Scotia

Autumn has fallen upon Nova Scotia strong just within the last week. The evenings are cooler and there is "almost" a frost some mornings. A real frost will be just around the corner for us.
The leaves are all changing into their fall brillance! I recharge my own battery when I start to see the reds and golds appear in the leaves.

I need to get some pumpkins to set out in the yard! I love this season most of all!

This is a picture of Bear River hometown.

Wore my helper out! LOL

Think my helper Mao got tuckered out playing with the strings on the tags! heehee You can tell some serious crafting as been happening....look at the mess covering my bed!

Prim Blessings!Cedara

Sometimes it just turns out PERFECT!

The crafting mojo struck me yesterday after being gone for far too long.( Don't you hate the having no control over that!)
I mixed up my usual batch of witches brew to stain goodies with......and it turned out PERFECT!
The color.....the scent strength......I have been going around staining everything I can lay my hands on that I think needs to be grungy! LOL

I have a huge batch of fabric done now and a new batch of tags!

They are coming HOME! :)

I am so excited to say that my sister and her family are going to be moving back to Nova Scotia!

They have been living in Ontario while her military husband was on a course. They got their posting notice and they are moving home to Nova Scotia next month! They will be only about 3 hours away from us now.

I can't wait to smoother them all with kisses!

Sorry for the lack of writing! I had to take some time away as the words just were not flowing in my head the way that I wanted them to. Too much craziness mixed in. LOL

But the time away has me feeling refreshed and charged back up again. I am feeling creative both in my sewing and in my writings. Be ready to sit for awhile! LOL THANK YOU to those that emailed me and said you were missing my really meant alot to me.

You have lots to read!

This is a good one!

Grasp the ball in place with your inner calves and ankles.
Slowly bring the ball down; keeping your legs straight!
Your butt will lift off the ground .
Hold there and count to 5.
Bring it slowly back up.
Repeat 10 times!

Reading anything good?

Have you been reading anything good? I usually like to go spend an afternoon at the library this time of the year. Must make that trip soon.

I have been busy reading the tutorial that came with Dreamweaver but I doubt that counts as a "good read" LOL

A Lost Art ..........

A handwritten letter is becoming more and more a lost art form.
Thought I'd share some of my fave simple ways to make them special and fun again.

Scented ink can add a delicate hint of "you" to your personal correspondence, a fragrance that will hit the air as soon as the envelope is opened and get the person thinking of you as they read your words.

Some different ways to scent ink!

1/2 oz (15g) dried lavender flowers
6 tbsp water
1 small bottle ink

Crush the lavender and put into a small saucepan along with the water.
Bring to a boil. Simmer for about 30 minutes or until
there's about 2 tablespoons brown, opaque liquid remaining.
Strain well, pressing down hard.
Mix the liquid with the ink.
Keep the bottle of ink in the fridge to last longer.
Bring it to almost room temperature before writing with.
Good for a few months.

Simply add a couple drops of your favorite
essential oil or oil blend to each milliliter of ink
(that's about 30 drops per ounce).
When the letter is folded and sealed,
the scent will intensify in the envelope.

Scented inks are best used with calligraphy pens or fountain pens of course.
If you don't wish to take that up as a form of can always scent your paper

The easiest way of sending a scent is to simply put a drop of essential oil on the corner of your writing paper. Be careful not to get it on the ink, though, or it may run.
Another method is to thoroughly scent your entire box of stationery before you even begin writing.
Choose a paper or material that is absorbent-blotting paper, tissue, cotton or gauze, for example. Put it into one-inch squares and place one or two drops of your favorite oil or oil blend on each square. Place the squares in different places in your box of stationery (put your envelopes in the box too), between the papers. Close the box and leave for a day or two - to allow the fragrance to penetrate the pages - before using.

Alter the scents for the moods you wish to express in your notes!
Holiday scents!
Springtime florals!
Autumn and pumpkin pies!
Oh you will have so much fun making these and your friends will get an added bonus when you write them.

Hand writing letters is quickly becoming a lost art. Lets bring it back!

Speaking of mail.....ENVELOPES

I know you aren't going to want to admit this.....but you know you have way too many catalogues and magazines laying around the house, right?! Sit down and go thru them.
Keep what you really really need to have.
NO! That isn't ALL OF THEM!

Now with what is left....let's get creative and have some fun!
Some magazines are a bit tougher to use because they have text all over. But with some time and a good eye, you'll be spotting great pieces to use to create some cool funky envelopes.
(I use Country Living alot! and even old calendars!)

Take a regular envelope and open it all up. You are going to use this to make a template.
Trace it carefully onto a thick piece of cardboard.
Cut it out and score the edges where it will need to be folded back up.

You have gone thru the magazines and found some fantastic pictures to use.
Take your template and trace onto the BACK of the image you want.
Carefully cut the envelope out and score the edges.
You can use a good quality glue stick or even double sided tape to close the envelope.

Go to your local Staples store or such and pick up some white labels.
Attach this in the center of your envelope to write the address on and

We all love mail!

Image hosted by
Was going thru some old family photos and came across this one of my father! I loved it! He is putting out their mail bag in hopes that a letter from his grandmother in England would arrive.
Did anyone else have "mail bags" while growing up?

Fighting with me all day :(

Don't you just hate when that happens?!
You finally get in the mood to create( or write) and everything keeps going wrong.
I have been trying to write in this blog all morning and add pictures and it keeps shutting me down! ACHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Going to try another route for the pictures and see if i can't get this blog smoking today! LOL

Prim Blessings!

Not sure how it happened.......

But the whole month of September just flew right passed me!
Just like poof! We were having the last few sunny days of summer and next thing all the leaves are changing.
Not really a complaint though because I love this time of year.
Love the colors on the trees.
Love the way the air is almost crisp.
Love to wear a warm sweater and snuggle on the sofa.
(Ok so I like to snuggle on the sofa anytime of the year but in the middle of summer is too hot!)

Feedback! :)

First I want to say THANK YOU to Cheryl and to Charlene.

Out of the blue...I heard from them. They read my blog. They get my newsletter from my website. They both dropped me a quick email to say hello. Now i have heard from them a few times and its great to share things with them! OXXO
I couldn't stop smiling! It felt so good to hear from someone that I didn't know but had yet somehow connected with.
I can't say it enough.....FEEDBACK is FANTASTIC!

The Country Life

Let me just start by saying that!

I was on the Primmart forums one evening and in the "welcome" section.
A new face was there and I thought I knew the name.
"Gail Eads" kept ringing a bell in my mind.LOL

I welcomed her and so did a few other folks to Primmart. I went to her website and knew right away why the name ran a bell. I had been seeing her paintings in different magazines and LOVED them!

She has become a great little member of the Primmart community.
She creates the most wonderful things that you just have to go and check out.
Soon as she created a hang tag with a black and white know I had to own them!
They arrived in pdf form and I have been having so much fun creating tags for my creations!

Stop by and tell her Cedara sent ya!XO

Brown Bunny Patch

To help me focus again on the things that needed to get done....I placed a tart in my tart burner.
Denise had made some for me and it was so AWESOME!
My whole room smelled like maple sticky buns! The scent wafted out the bedroom door and down the stairs....ohhhhhhh it was even in the kitchen!

If you are ever in the need for some awesome smelling tarts and candles.....Denise is the gal to contact! She was quick and so wonderful to deal with. I had a special order and she took care of me beyond well.

Antique pictures

Been going thru a bunch of the old family photographs. Scanner has been working overtime.
I am going to be creating my own graphics for the new website.
There are so many different programs to play around with.
The different effects keep changing my focus! LOL

Got out a journal (Not surprised are ya?!)and started writing and sketching some ideas down.
What the look is that I want.
The feel of the different buttons.
The titles of the different pages.
Some quotes and muses to place thru out the site.

I hope to share some sneek peeks with some folks soon!

Getting a second website!!!!!!!!!

My goodness I am having a blast with this new website! I have given myself a few good headaches but they are going to be worth it in the end! LOL

That is the URL of the new site. I am so excited!
Its going to be for my articles that I have already written and want to submit to other places. Its also going to house some short stories that you all have never seen or read yet!

Trying my hand at getting it all up and running myself and WOW...that has been quite the trip so far. All you "uber techs" have me bowing at your feet! I have spent a few days spinning my heels in the dust!

Back on Track......

Ok so I have had a bit of rough week keeping my thoughts straight. Let alone trying to write about them. I have regrouped and hopefully things will start to fall into place like they are supposed to.
The weather is grey and overcast today. I am hoping it gets darker and darker and just pours!
Our well is soooooooo low right now its scary! Bring on the rains!
I have a few dolls to send over to FOA(
Have a couple more to finish and get up on my own website as well.
Be on the lookout! heehee

Carm was such a sweetheart and created this fantastic graphic for us to all use on our websites to express how sad and upset we are about the hurricane disaster:(
Sadly it effected more friends of mine then I like to think about.

I am donating 25% of my dolls sales to the RED CROSS!

Dylan Window

This is one of the front windows. The lady that runs the place sells antique clothes.
Oddacity is the name of the store and Zoƫ Knorek-Onysko is the owner. She is quite the lady as you can tell from how she painted her shop!

I guess they like BOB DYLAN!

We had Jesse in our car and when the other headed home, we sort of went on a bit of a road trip around Bear River. This is a building right downtown that has been painted with bright colors. Its also covered with Bob Dylan song lyrics! Jesse's mom is a huge fan so we took some pics! heehee

Swimming in September! NUTS!

The weekend weather had been sooooo hot that they talked me into swimming! LOL We had talked about this swimming hole before but none of them had ever been.So off we went and once we arrived and I felt the sun beating I went too! Even though I didn't have my bathingsuit! heehee Just wore my shorts and shirt in.

The water was NOT near as cold as I thought it would be. We swam for about an hour and then headed home. Very refreshing!

Inside the shop.........

There were a few more inside the shop that were really nice. The smell of leather is almost intoxicating! LOL I loved the paint job on the one in the background....when the paint was wet, plastic wrap was laid on and then peeled away for the effect!
This red one was real sharp looking too.
I love going to Sean's shop.....its so cool! I always seem to see something different each time I go there. I'll have to get looking thru the books and see what can be ordered up for me! heehee

This is Aimish's(son) bike that Sean built and there is something on it that was the first one in Canada but I can't remember what they told me it was! LOL I will have to ask again and then edit my post to tell you all!

Mix of BIKES!

This is the bike that Sean made for Sue(his wife)

Smell the leather! S&S Custom Cycle

Spent the weekend over to our friends place. The log cabin house that I already blogged about. The gang came down from Halifax and we had a great fire in the pit. Roasted marshmallows and the works. A great time by all.
Sean runs a Harley Shop so thought we'd take some pics of the bikes that were around this weekend. I didn't get a chance to ask Sean for a ride(as it was crazy all that we were jamming into a few days!) but I will before they are all put away for the winter.

Weekend craft for you all!

I think this makes such a great decoration for the upcoming season! Take a bucket and spray paint it orange. Take some black paint and give him a JOL face!

Plant a great big array of fall flowers like mums that come in such wonderful fall colors. Set him on your doorstep and smile every time you see him!

Moonbeams and dreaming....

Moonbeams and dreams! This little lady can be found on my website
and I am excited to say there is going to be a small series of them!

I was sent this wonderful gold fabric in a swap and I have always known I wanted to create moons with it. Just couldn't figure out the rest of the creation!

She was inspired by a tiny ornie made for me by a friend(Thank you Sarah!). I drew her out and created her like a small version of the dolls I do now.
It was tough! She is only 8 inches.

I LOVE how she turned out though!
Like I mentioned....a few more in this "moon beam series"..... a hint for the next is a bewitching season soon!

Another Faceless Prim for you all :)
You can find this faceless prim doll at my booth at the Faire!
I have a few different gals up right now in my booth and will be adding more all month!
Make sure to stop by and take a peek!

LOTS of great artists are having a booth!

Hexy the witch

With the bewitching season soon upon us....made this fun gal! Her nose is prim! LOL

Played around with some PSP features as well to create the picture. Really having some fun with all that.

You can find Hexy in my booth at the Primitive Artisans Faire! I am so excited!

Been doing this set of exercises with the exercise ball and let me tell abs are felling it!
Give it a'll see the difference!
(even if you don't own an exercise ball...use a kids beach ball or basketball!)

Hold the ball with the side of your legs and ankles.
Reach up and touch the ball. I try to do this 20 times.

Anything good on tv???

We didn't watch alot of tv but some shows we tried not to miss. CSI being one of those shows. Fou was walking around crying and talking to himself.(He's a very chatty cat!)

I told him to get up on the sofa and shhh cause we were getting ready to watch tv. He jumped right up next to Eric JUST LIKE THIS and stayed for the whole hour!

Crazy cat!

First ever picture of Fou Kitty!

I am always hearing folks tell me they love to see pictures of Fou kitty. I have no shortage of pictures of my baby to share! LOL

I was actualy away to my sisters place for halloween and Eric called and told me about this kitten. I was really nervous cause I already owned Mao who was full grown and we think part dragon! He sent me this picture and there was NO WAY that he was not coming to live with us!

So folks......this picture began the FOU KITTY LOVE! LOL

House sitting....... do it alot! LOL

Our friends were going away for a few days and asked Eric if he could house sit for them. He called me up and asked to join him. I have the car full of my crafting supplies and we are heading over there soon. Its such a great relaxing spot! I actually get alot of work done there! heehee

They told us there is now a path right down to the beach behind there place with some benches that have been made. I'll have to make sure we go down and take some pictures to share!

Bored with your tacks????

I got moving things around my room today including my bullentin boards. Looked at my thumb tacks and thought...I am going to have some fun with those. Some old marbles and some strong hotglue....presto! You could glue anything to the tack though...think of the fun you could have!

New tacks that are much more fun!
